Partners
Manage the outside labs and X-ray centers your clinic sends orders to, from invite through wind-down.
Partners are the dental labs and X-ray or imaging centers outside your clinic that you send orders to: crowns, dentures, or other lab work, and X-rays or scans you don't take in-house. Manage them at Settings → Partners (https://dentare.io/clinic/settings/partners).
Partners is a Pro feature. If your plan lapses, partners you already connected with keep working normally. Adding new ones locks until you're back on Pro.
Your linked partners
The linked partners list shows every lab and imaging center you've invited or connected with, each with a status pill:
- Active - orders flow normally.
- Invited - you sent an email invite and they haven't joined yet.
- Paused - you switched off new orders temporarily.
- Winding down - one side is ending the collaboration; open orders are still finishing.
Under each partner's name, a subline shows an outstanding balance when you owe them money for completed work ("You owe €X"). A winding-down partner also carries an open orders count next to its pill, so you can see at a glance how many orders still need to finish before the collaboration can close.
Tap the menu on a partner's row to pause, resume, end the collaboration, or remove a pending invite. Which actions appear depends on the partner's status.
Invite a partner by email
If your lab or imaging center isn't on Dentare yet, use the "Invite your lab or imaging center" card. Type their email and send the invite. It's free for them to join, and the partner appears in your list as Invited until they accept.
Find a partner in the directory
If your lab or imaging center is already on Dentare, connect through the public directory instead of inviting them again.
Open the directory
From the "Find a partner on Dentare" card, click Browse directory. This takes you to the partner directory.
Search and filter
Search by name, city, or service. Use the Dental Labs and X-Ray Centers filters to narrow the list to the kind of partner you need.
Check a listing before requesting
Each listing shows the services offered, the languages spoken, and typical turnaround time. A verified badge means Dentare has confirmed the listing. Use these to judge fit before you request a connection.
Request a connection
Click Request connection on a listing. The partner sees your request and can accept it. Once accepted, the partner moves into your linked partners list as Active.
If you can't find your partner in the directory, invite them by email from the Partners page instead.
Pause or resume a partner
Pausing an active partner stops new orders from going to them without ending the relationship. Everything already in progress continues. Resume at any time to start sending orders again.
End a collaboration
Ending a collaboration starts a wind-down: no new orders go to that partner from the moment you start it, but anything already open finishes first. This protects work already committed on both sides.
While a collaboration is winding down, the party who started it can cancel and restore the connection to Active. Once every open order is settled, either side can complete the wind-down and close the connection for good.
Completing a wind-down ends the connection permanently. This can't be undone. If you might want to work with this partner again later, wait until you're sure before completing it.
Remove a pending invite
A partner that's still Invited or Pending and has never exchanged an order with you can be removed directly from the menu, no wind-down needed. Nothing has flowed yet, so removing is a clean, safe action. You can always invite them again later.
Once a partner reaches Active (an order has flowed), removing directly is no longer available. Use End collaboration instead so any open work settles first.
