AI Directory Listing
Let patients find your clinic when they search for a dentist using ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini. Enable it in one click.
Patients increasingly search for healthcare with an AI assistant rather than a regular search engine. When AI directory listing is enabled, your clinic shows up in those results with your services, opening hours, and a link to book.
What Patients See
A patient in Tirana opens ChatGPT and asks "find me a dentist who speaks Albanian for a teeth whitening." ChatGPT searches the web, finds your clinic through Dentare's listing, and replies with something like:
Based on Dentare's directory, [YOUR CLINIC] in Tirana matches your needs. They offer aesthetic dentistry including whitening, speak Albanian, English, and Italian, and are open Monday to Friday 8:00 to 18:00. You can book at https://dentare.io/c/[your-clinic]
The patient taps the link, lands on your booking page, picks a time, and books, the same flow they would follow if they found you on Instagram. No app, no install, no friction.
The same listing surfaces in Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. You enable it once and it works across every assistant that indexes Dentare.
How to Enable It
Open Your Booking Page Editor
Go to Settings → Booking & Forms and open the Online booking pages tab (https://dentare.io/clinic/settings/booking?tab=pages). Select Edit on your clinic's public booking page. The same editor that controls your booking page also controls the AI directory.
Open the Visibility Tab
Visibility is the first tab across the top of the editor. It holds the Show in AI directory switch.
Switch It On
Turn the switch on if it is off. There is no save button: the change is stored as you make it and is live within a minute.
If the switch is greyed out, your booking page is not complete enough to be listed yet. The readiness checklist directly below it names what is still missing, and each unfinished item links to the screen where you fix it.
That's it. AI assistants reindex Dentare on their own schedule, typically over the following one to two weeks.
What You Need on Your Booking Page
The AI listing pulls from the same data your bio page already uses. The richer the page, the more accurately AI assistants describe your clinic. Make sure these are filled in:
- Clinic name, country, city, and street address, under Clinic Profile
- Phone number patients can call directly
- At least one service switched on in the Services tab of the booking page editor
- Opening hours, under Hours & Availability
- A short description of your clinic, in the Bio text field of the Page & Branding tab, 60 characters or more is a good baseline
- A logo or cover image, recommended for visual context in some AI responses
The Visibility tab shows a readiness checklist naming anything that is still missing. Fill those in first, then turn the directory switch on.
Languages your clinic speaks come from the languages enabled on your booking page. AI assistants use them to match patient queries like "dentist who speaks Macedonian." Make sure every language your team can serve patients in is listed.
Plans
AI directory listing is available on every Dentare plan, Free and Pro. There is no extra fee for being indexed and no per-booking charge for bookings that originate from an AI assistant.
Privacy
AI assistants only see the public information on your booking page: clinic name, services, hours, address, phone, and the languages you speak. Patient names, medical records, prices not on your bio page, and internal notes are never shared. The full posture is in the privacy article and in the Dentare Privacy Policy.
Turning It Off
If you want to opt out, switch Show in AI directory off in the Visibility tab of your booking page editor. New AI search results stop within 24 to 48 hours, depending on how often each assistant reindexes Dentare. Existing bookings already in your queue are not affected.
